Day 15: Fort Ticonderoga and heading to New Hampshire

Today we left the Albany area and headed up to Fort Ticonderoga.  It has been hot, and pretty humid.  Not quite as humid as the south, but humid nonetheless.  We explored the fort and were thankful that they did have one exhibit hall that was air-conditioned.  They had several cannons on site that have been researched to obtain information on where they originated and where they were in battle.  Supposedly, they have one of the actual cannons that was brought from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston by Knox.  Despite the heat, the views were beautiful and they had some excellent live history presenters.  The cobbler was fortunate to be working inside on the bottom floor where it was substantially cooler.

After the fort, we headed through Vermont into New Hampshire.  We get to spend the next week Papa Dave and Grammy!
