Day 25: Plimoth Plantation, Gristmill, Plymouth Rock, and the Red Sox!
Plimoth Plantation! Daddy went here a lot as a child, so he was super excited to take the kids.
We first learned about the Wampanoag village. The first home is their summer home. The second home is their winter home. They may have had up to ten families sharing one large home in the winter, and the frame could last up to twenty years!
Crafting native headdresses. They used porcupine hair!
The English village. I'm pretty sure the kids favorite part of the English village was feeding the goats. Joey really enjoyed talking with the living history actors.
The next stop was the Jenney Grist mill and then off to Plymouth Rock.
The location of this street is the same as the original Plymouth colony. There are plaques along the street that tell where the original homes were.
Free slurpie day! So excited they had one in Plymouth!
The oldest home in Plymouth, built in 1840!
Off to the Red Sox game with Uncle Jay! The kids were super excited! Joey asked to hold Uncle Jay's hand. It was so neat to see such a historic ballpark. Jeremiah and Micah were thrilled and it was so neat to see them win!
