Day 37: Shady Maple Buffet, Annapolis State House, Annapolis Naval Academy

We're leaving Pennsylvania today, heading to Maryland and Delaware after dropping off Grandma and Papa at the airport.  A special treat before leaving, true Pennsylvania food at the Shady Maple Buffet.  Jeremiah found this on a brochure at the beginning of the week, and it was the perfect way to end our time!  200 hundred foot buffet!

We had to take some corn stalk photos before we left!
We headed to the Maryland State House through storms.  It was beautiful, but it was a bummer that they don't give personal tours.  My favorite part of this state house is the fact that this is where Washington resigned his position as Commander and Chief, and therefore ushering in the notion of giving up power and a civilian head of the military.

The room where resignation was given and his actual speech.
 A cannon from the 1600s.

We decided to visit the Naval Academy while we were in the area.  We were too late for the tour, but it was still neat to see this amazing facility.

There was another storm while we were in the visitor center, but it made for a beautiful view!

Heading to Delaware we realized we had to drive over an almost 4.5-mile long bridge that soars up to 200 hundred feet high.  It was a bit intimidating, but we made it!
